Yes, I too belive ritspike needs a massive buff.
KDs and snares exist, I suggest you try using those.

Ritualist bosses in Hard Mode hit hard enough already, thank you. For humans, it's a decent skill that rewards bodyblocking and using terrain chokepoints, but even then is outclassed by the time you get off of Noob Island. I can't really see an alteration that would make it more tempting to take without breaking it in PvP, or causing mucho PvE headaches like the recent Paragon buffs did in the Desolation.

I would kind of like spirit rift at least see a reduced cast time or eliminate the rising time.
To the argument of "rewarding" body blocking, I ask: Why bother when you can use many other nukes and get better rewards?

Ritualists suffer from being a "Jack-of-all-Trades" profession. By doing many things decently, that can't do any one thing too well without being overpowered. The recent Ritualist "buff" was more of a tightening of the focus of the class. Ritualists HAD good nukes once upon a time. The newly-buffed spirits in combination with good red-barring and great support skills are enough. It would be hard to balance Ritualist nukes without overpowering them, like I said previously. Besides, if you want nukes, why rely on a Rit?

Anyways, I would like to draw attention to one skill: Spirit Rift.
My proposal is that it does not get buffed or nerfed in anyway, but sort of changed. Right now it takes 2 Seconds to cast, and it comes out of the ground slowly to hit your foe, or foes within the area of the rift. Problem I have been having is that whenever I cast it (even if i wait for foes to sit for a minute and not move, the get up and run away after I cast it on them)
So what I'm thinking about is if they make Spirit Rift somehow attach itself to a foe and still does damage to that foe and foes around it, but you know.. make it useful, instead of constantly casting it and wasting it like 75% of the time.
Thanks all.

So, you want it buffed.
If you're smart about using it, it's a good skill. If you just use it on recharge, it's a bad skill. Learn how to use it, and it will be good. /notsigned

^^ This. HM rit bosses could kill another caster in one spirit rift, if the target does not move out of the danger zone of the rift in time. It would be lethal, if it was attached to the target. And belive me, it would not help you much, as its damage is not that high, especially in HM. As Arkantos said, it is very useful if your foes are bunched together, held by a tank. Otherwise, i would use SoS and bloodsong combined with painful bond from the chanelling line.

Err... Iron Mist / Binding Chain target before Spirit Rift spike? Honestly if you team up with a hammer warrior, your Spirit Rift will always hit the target he is training on.
